NKUA Central Building
The Central Building of NKUA (the University of Athens “Propylaea”) is the historic, neoclassical main building of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens on Panepistimiou Street (no. 30), in central Athens.
Designed in 1839 by the Danish architect Hans Christian Hansen, it’s the middle landmark of the famous “Athenian Trilogy” (together with the Academy of Athens and the National Library). With its monumental façade and ceremonial spaces, it has long served as a symbol of Greek higher education and public life in the city.
